Today I’m grateful for my wife and children.
We don’t realize the impact that our families have on us until they’ve gone away. Over the years, my family has gone back to Calgary to visit as I’ve stayed back alone to do my work. You quickly realize how quiet life becomes.
The walls don’t talk or ask you questions. The walls don’t hug or smile good morning. The walls don’t play and make life fun. FB, YouTube, TV, etc. are not replacements for the sweetness a hug from child brings to the heart.
So today, as I’m spending time with my children, I’m grateful for their presence in my life and the gift of being their dad.
