I’m grateful for the ability to meditate.  It seems easy enough, but look around you and you’ll notice that very few people actually meditate.

We know meditation is good for our health.  That it improves concentration and brings clarity to our thoughts.  Reduces high blood pressure and helps to manage stress.  Meditation even works to reduce our anxiety, fear, depression and more.  Then why oh why do we not embrace it?

I’ve noticed a big difference in my wife’s behaviour as she and I meditate and pray together each morning starting at 5 am for nearly 80 minutes in just 3 weeks.  Now I know why my father is so content in himself, as he’s been doing it for over 50 years.

Meditation is the river of contentment, prayer the waves of acceptance, and reflection the creative binding force.  Done together our hearts fill with an ocean of gratitude that soothes our minds and blesses peace to our souls.

So today I’m grateful, God’s willed upon me the ability to meditate and experience his essence in every breath I connect to, in every moment.
