Who out there can remember seeing a young 10-12 year old indian boy on the corners of downtown Toronto selling flowers for $3 a bunch just say in 1980 to 1983ish?
Well if you are in your 50s, and up and bought one of those bunches, you probably are a dollar or two short, or maybe a rose or carnation short! 🙂
You see, the little devil in me, wanting to make money so I can pretty much “eat out” urged me to find away to make an extra buck or two. Well did you know, I was supposed to sell those bunches for $2 and not $3.
I covered the price sign on front of the cart with the buckets of carnations so that when you asked me how much they were, I said $3 with an irresistible smile?
The other scam was pulling a rose out of a few bunches and making an extra bunch to sell!
I’d like to think this kid was being an entrepreneur and solving a problem of how to make money for some “kid” stuff 🙂
So a scammer or an entrepreneur?
